Daniel Mintie LCSW is a cognitive-behavioral therapist with 28 years' experience treating trauma, anxiety and depression. He trains therapists at universities and training centers worldwide and has a lifelong interest in mind-body approaches to wellness. His team of local colleagues was recently awarded a $700,000 National Institutes of Health grant to develop a mindfulness-based eating pilot for overweight teens and their families.
Julie Staples Ph.D. is Research Director at The Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington D.C. and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University. She has done research for many years on traumatized Veteran and civilian populations around the world and has been a certified Kundalini yoga instructor since 1996.
